nksc가 입수한 화폐개혁 이후 북한의 신권 5000원 화폐(위의사진이 구화폐 아래사진이 신화폐)
전체적인 분위기는 비슷하게 보이나 기존의(구화폐) 파란색 계열에서 붉은색
계열의 색상으로 바뀌었다.
또 구화폐에는 중년의 김일성 얼굴사진을 사용했지만 신화폐에서는 노년의 김일성 얼굴사진을 사용한 것이 새롭다.
가장 큰 변화는 지폐의 크기를 액면가와 상관없이 전부 동일하게 만든 것이다.
위조지폐의 왕국으로 알려진 북한에서 기존(구화폐)의 크기를 무시하고 달러처럼 소액과 고액의 지폐를 모두 동일한 크기로 만든 것은 인상적이다.
